Reaching into eternal bliss beyond the norm
Watching as I see the clouds surrounding me
No telling whether there would be a storm.
Letting go, cares floating away
There ain't a mo' when I feel so
Careless to the things those others would say.
Designing the great above up, up, up
Undoubtedly owed to those who sowed
Me would the tree feel as I rub its trunk.
Desiring glances aimed upward to the sun
I attract many eyes as I float through the skies
Of course, because, I show up to fun.
Floating without feet that I could land with
Grabbed by the tail sometimes without fail
Without freedom, I'd say I'm pretty miffed.

- Well, a friend of mine saw a poem I wrote, and I said that I could write a poem about pretty much anything -- they just had to give me a topic. And, my friend, glancing at a Halloween balloon, told me, "Write about a balloon." So I did.
Put it in Humor because it's rather humorous towards the end.
